At this time, FMSC has cancelled all MobilePack events till March 2021 due to the Covid-19 virus.  This is unfortunate but is being done after significant prayer and to protect the FMSC staff plus the  packing volunteers.

This means that Lakeshore will not be hosting a FMSC MobilePack event in 2020.

In the interim FMSC has been machine packing meals at much lower production rate and at a cost increase of 5 cents/meal.  As you might guess, worldwide demand is up significantly due the virus.  FMSC's goal for 2020 was 350 million meals.  Their current worldwide partners have requested 450 million meals.   Current machine packing production will produce less than the goal of 350 million meals.  So the need is great and growing.

Lakeshore, although not packing this year, will continue to support FMSC by sending the cost of the 155,520 meals that we had planned to pack.  The cost for Lakeshore support is just under $38,000.  Lakeshore's contribution of $38,000 will allow FMSC to pay for a portion of the machine packed meals.

If you are interested in helping with the extra cost of meals, 3 options are available to you:

    1) Make a check donation to Lakeshore noting FMSC on the memo line

    2) Make an on-line donation to FMSC at the Lakeshore website (starting 10/4)

    3) Make a donation to FMSC using the Lakeshore App (starting 10/4)

Please prayfully consider how you can help starving children and at the same time expose them to the love of Christ.

Lakeshore has already reserved it's MobilePack for 2021 just before Thanksgiving.

• Global Aid Network (GAiN) in Mali, Africa (38,848 meals)
• Global Aid Network (GAIN) in Liberia, Africa (38,880 meals)
• Reach Now International (RNI) in Angola, Africa (77,760 meals)

Reach Now International reaches orphans, refugees, internally displaced people, those affected by war, governmental situations, poverty, persecution and other natural conditions and calamities with the gospel and practical help.  RNI has distributed FMSC meals in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East to serve these populations.  To learn about their work you can check out the RNI website.

Over the course of the past 8 years, Lakeshore has made the following significant contribution to Feed My Starving Children:

• Packed 1,580,688 meals
• Fed 4,327 kids for an entire year
• Had 7,350 volunteers
