In 2017, Lakeshore Community Church began asking the question, “If Lakeshore closed its doors, would anyone in the community notice?” That question both haunted and motivated a small group of people at Lakeshore to do everything they could to ensure that never happens.  So they began something called LOVE WEEK

LOVE WEEK is all about LOVING and SERVING people in our community the way JESUS would.  LOVE WEEK is all about making a difference outside the church walls and out in the community where people need to hear the LIFE CHANGING MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL.

Lakeshore's second LOVE Week was bigger and better than the first. In total we organized:

21 PROJECTS with... 260 VOLUNTEERS and served more than... 1000 VOLUNTEER HOURS... all in ONE WEEK

This year the people of Lakeshore:

Served meals to first responders - Greece Police, Greece Volunteer Ambulance and Lakeshore Fire Department

Helped maintain facilities - Mission Share, Rochester Family Mission. Victoria's House, Journey Home, Greece Ecumenical Clothing Closet and Beatrice Place

Visited seniors
- Crimson Ridge Assisted Living, Park Ridge Nursing, Brookdale Nursing and Park Ridge Adult Day Services

Helped clean up the Greece Little League park

Assist with the Greece Challenger Baseball tournament

Beautified many of Greece parks - Braddock Bay Park, Cranberry Trail and Grandview Park

Collected food for Flower City Pickers from the Public Market for distribution to those in need

Assisted Father's Heart with organization and food distribution

Thank you to all that participated in this event in expressing the love of Jesus Christ in our community through service.
