WHAT IS LOVE WEEK?

In 2017, Lakeshore Community Church began asking the question, “If Lakeshore closed its doors, would anyone in the community notice?” That question both haunted and motivated a small group of people at Lakeshore to do everything they could to ensure that never happens.  So they began something called LOVE WEEK

LOVE WEEK is all about LOVING and SERVING people in our community the way JESUS would.  LOVE WEEK is all about making a difference outside the church walls and out in the community where people need to hear the LIFE CHANGING MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL.

IT TAKES AN ARMY

During our first LOVE WEEK in 2017, the people of Lakeshore served meals and showered appreciation on our first responders, took on beautification projects in town parks, nursing homes, and hospitals, offered a free car wash to the public, and served the families at the Greece Little League complex with a free lunch, directing traffic, and cleanup.

In total we organized...

16 PROJECTS with
167 VOLUNTEERS and served more than
1500 VOLUNTEER HOURS

...all in one week.

SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT BY JUNE 17

This year LOVE WEEK will take place from July 29 through
August 4
and the goal is to have more than 20 PROJECTS to allow Lakeshore to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.

We are looking for leaders to organize these projects in the community.  If you have an idea for a project and are able to organize it, then contact Mike Grugnale at mgrugnale@thomasnetuny.com

Projects must be submitted by Sunday June 17.  We will help you recruit people for the project.

Be a part of a movement to share the love of Jesus Christ through service.  Be a part of LOVE WEEK.
