Where will you find joy and peace this Christmas season? So often we are distracted by the tasks instead of the truths of Christmas. Does your to do list include: baking cookies, shopping, parties, hosting family and friends, and attending holiday concerts? Are you on a quest for the hottest Christmas toy or video game? Have you decorated your Christmas tree? How about finding that perfect Christmas outfit? Are your Christmas cards written? Are the gifts wrapped and mailed? Have you finalized your travel plans? Has your shopping list destroyed your budget?

Whew! Have you read this list with a sense of joy and peace? Maybe something very important is missing...

You have the opportunity to experience love, peace and joy this season. We are here to help you celebrate the very best Christmas gift ever given! Jesus.

Christmas is always a special time at Lakeshore because we love to celebrate God's greatest gift to us - His One And Only Son Jesus Christ. Join us beginning December 10. We'll have encouraging messages as we look at the names of Jesus found in the book of Isaiah, a festive environment for the whole family, and special services on Christmas Eve at 9 and 11AM plus an intimate and reflective Christmas Eve service at 6PM. Join us for #ChristmasAtLakeshore.

Christmas Series

What’s in a name?  Sometimes much more than we think.  Today most people choose names that are popular or that sound good, but in days gone by names were given as descriptive of the person or the circumstances surrounding their birth.  That’s the case with Jesus. Over 700 years before the birth of Christ, the prophet Isaiah predicted some of the great names that would be used for Jesus Christ and we will look at four of them in a classic passage found in Isaiah 9:6.  We will unpack each one and explain how they reveal the greatness of Jesus and why He is deserving of all of our worship and devotion.
